Approaching overpass

We look across the overpass toward downtown Berkeley. The new bridge (to the right of the photo) is much more attractive for bicyclists, but the old route shown here is shorter for some trips. Two signs are planted in the end of the crosswalk. There is no handicapped ramp -- but on the other hand, there is no point in having one because this route leads to a flight of stairs. This photo looks in the opposite direction at the same location shown in another photo from 1999.
